Privacy
Privacy, in plain language.
What FoodVita collects, why, and what you can do about it. This is a summary of how the app works today — not our formal privacy policy, which will be published before FoodVita launches.

What we collect
- Your account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address. FoodVita never sees your Google password.
- Your details. If you enter them: your age (kept as a birth year), sex, height and goal weight. They feed your energy estimates.
- What you log. Meals, drinks, weigh-ins, fasts, workouts and steps, plus your goals and preferences.
- Photos you scan. The meal and nutrition-label photos you choose to scan, and any note you add to one.
- Notifications. If you allow them, a device token so we can tell you when a scan is ready or Bobo levels up.
- Purchases. If you subscribe to FoodVita Plus, Google Play or the App Store handles the payment. We keep your plan and its status — not your card details.
- Usage events. Which features are used (for example, that a meal was logged), so we can improve the app.
How it's used
- To estimate nutrition: scan photos (with any note you add) and the names of foods you ask FoodVita to estimate are sent to a third-party AI service.
- For the AI coach's notes in Statistics: a summary of the figures on that screen — such as calorie averages and weight change — is sent to the same service.
- To count the free plan's 3 AI scans a day.
- To keep your diary in sync across your devices and backed up.
- To send the notifications you've switched on — and nothing else.
Where it lives
- Your diary is saved on your phone first, then synced to FoodVita's servers.
- Scan photos are deleted automatically after 30 days. The nutrition result stays in your diary.
- Your sign-in session is kept in your phone's secure storage.
Your controls
- Edit or delete any meal, drink or step entry at any time, and correct a weigh-in or the times of a fast.
- Switch notifications, the streak and Bobo on or off in the app's settings.
- Deleting an account from inside the app isn't available yet. The address for account deletion requests will be published here before FoodVita launches.
What FoodVita is not
